In March of 2008 Shawsheen Vintage Bicycles (So what's up with the name Shawsheen?) was formed and joined up with my old friend Vinny, owner of Menotomy Vintage Bicycles at OldRoads.com.
Together we acquired space at the Cambridge Antique Market. We have since become a great place to find a wonderful, reasonably priced, clean and tuned, quality used bicycle for most any need. We have English 3 speeds, City Cruisers, Single Speed Cruisers, Road, Mountain, Hybrids, etc! We are dedicated to finding and recycling quality used and vintage bicycles. We also often have a good collection of older bicycles and unique bikes, such as folding commuters, large frame, and promotional rides.
We have enterd our 3rd year and have established ourselves as the place to find good used bicycles,
some of which just happen to be Vintage. Our Bicycles have all been tuned and are road ready. We replace anything that needs to be, including (but not limited to)
tires & tubes, brake pads, cables to make our used bikes reliable. We stand behind our work by offering a 30 day warranty.
The term Vintage can be a bit confusing, so we renamed our business to Cambridge Used Bicycles
which more accurately reflects what we are all about. Although, many of our used bicycles can be termed Vintage, we have plenty of newer bikes that come through our doors all the time.
Looking for something special? We will look for a specific type, size or brand for you! That is why we changed our name to Cambridge Used Bicycles. Please check out our inventory page (see above)!
We keep between 60 to 80 bicycles in the shop at all times to choose from with several hundred in storage. Such as 3 speed English, 10+ Speed Road, Mountain, Hybrids, Beach Cruisers, etc.
And occasionally we put together single speeds using various frames
with new wheels with coaster brakes rear wheels, etc. This makes for a very simple bike that can you can have fenders and a rack added to it.
And this year, due to demand for a reasonalbly priced single speed we have started to bring in a
Simple Single Speed, the Cutler from Origin-8
which is our only "New" bicycle. A great value for $250.00.
